The 31st annual Appaloosa national show 26-29 March 2008

This year the show will be held at the Kihikihi Showgrounds, the same venue as last year.

Judges

The judges this year are Mike McCarthy from Denver USA and Wayne Hipsley judging the main events on the english day.

Mark McCarthy
Mark McCarthy hails from Longmont, Colorado. He is an educator, and horse trainer, and is married with one son. He has shown horses for the past 35 years, judged for 26 years, and specializes in Western Performance Horses. Mark has judged such notable events as the ApHC Appaloosa Nationals in 1999, 2004, and 2007, APHA Paint World Show 2006, Paint Horse Congress, Canadian Appaloosa Congress, Australian Appaloosa Nationals in 2005, Yankee Classic, and the Mane Event.

Wayne Hipsley
Wayne has over 40 years experience in the equine industry as a breeder,trainer,handler and as a judge all over the world in a variety of breeds and levels of competition ..Wayne is a frequent visiter to NZ having held many training and judging seminars and also judging a variety of shows from western, english to miniatures. He is a very talented man and we are extremely lucky to have him judge our English day.
