Calling all North Island competitors to have some fun in Tauranga!
Join us for exclusive Appaloosa classes at the Tauranga A&P Show for an enjoyable day out and friendly competition.
This is a casual no-points show, open to members and non-members. The purpose is to encourage all Appaloosa owners to get involved, build their horsemanship skills in a relaxed environment, promote the beauty and versatility of the Appaloosa horse to the public, and showcase their abilities.
Bonus: It's also ApHANZ's 51st birthday on February 24th, and this seems like a great way to celebrate!

Competition Regulations
Safety Requirements
Safety helmets and boots with a heel are compulsory in all ridden classes and all times while mounted.
Any safe tack is acceptable; however, it must be clean and tidy.
Riders and handlers must wear clean and tidy attire, jackets and plaiting are optional.
All stallions must display a stallion "S" on their bridle or halter at all times while yarded, shown, or ridden.
Snaffle bridles only, no riding in halters.
Judging Guidelines
While colour and markings are not primary or determinative factors in judging (excluding Most Colourful class), where two horses are equal in type, conformation, action, and soundness, the award should be made to the entry more easily recognized as an Appaloosa
The judge's decision is their own and final and is not to be disputed
Authority
The judge or show committee has authority to dismiss any entry from the arena if the entry is not under sufficient control or for any conduct deemed unacceptable.
Program Changes
The committee reserves the right to amend the program or details as/when required.
